Michael Macchiarelli - President, CEO
|
Michael Macchiarelli brings to Imagine Instruments over 30 years of hands-on electronic product design
& development success, proven project management skills, extensive manufacturing experience and documented
team leadership.
After learning the basics in Electrical/Electronic Engineering during High School, Michael joined and
served 6 years in the US Air Force. During this time he received training and gained additional experience
in electronics as a Sensor System Specialist. While serving, Michael attended classes at the Community
College of the US Air Force.
Prior to launching Imagine Instruments, Michael spent 6 years as the Product Design & Development Manager,
and 15 years as a Electronic Design Engineer at Omega Engineering in Stamford, CT. Omega is well known for
being a world leader in the development and manufacturing of Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, pH, Flow,
Level and Data Acquisition Instrumentation and Sensors for the Process Measurement & Control, Scientific and
Automation Industries.
During Michael's 21 year career with Omega he lead a large, very successful, multinational, engineering
team of junior and veteran electronic hardware, firmware, software and mechanical engineers. Michael
personally contributed to the design, development and manufacturing of over 100 state-of-the-art cutting
edge products for the Process Measurement & Control, Automation and Scientific Industries. Products
categories include USB based Data Acquisition Instruments, Industrial Transmitters, Handheld Meters,
Panel Meters, Data Loggers, Calibrators, and most recently a broad line of Industrial Wireless Sensors,
Transmitters and Receivers.
Notable accomplishments include company awards, industry awards, published articles, 5 awarded and 4
pending US and international patents. Michael currently serves on the Technology Management Advisory
Board at Central Connecticut State University and is an active member with The Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), The International Society of Automation (ISA), The American Solar
Energy Society (ASES) and The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
